It was only on 2nd of July that Sebastian Kurz, Austria’s designated Federal Chancellor, announced that his country wanted to seize the opportunity to “become the world’s number one hydrogen nation”. Only three and a half months later, KEYOU was pleased to receive a visit from an Austrian delegation from Carinthia. Coordinated by Franz Nickl, Technology Representative of the Austrian Consulate General in Munich, Sebastian Schuschnig, Member of the Regional Council for Mobility, Tourism and Economic Affairs in Carinthia, who studied with Sebastian Kurz, as well as Alvin Bijedic, Economics and Legal Affairs Specialist of the Carinthian Provincial Government, and Meinrad Höfferer, Head of the Foreign Trade and EU Department of the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce, came to the Unterschleißheim office of KEYOU.
The Austrian delegation plunged into the local start-up ecosystem for three days and wanted to visit KEYOU against this background as well, since Landesrat Schuschnig has a high affinity for the energetic utilisation of hydrogen. After getting an idea of Linde’s H2 filling station in Unterschleißheim, the KEYOU staff discussed the KEYOU-inside technology and various possible applications in the KEYOU premises. At the same time, Schuschnig outlined Carinthia’s plans for a hydrogen region. After short one and a half hours the Carinthians said goodbye, not without an invitation to visit Austria. KEYOU will be happy to do so in due course!
