KEYOU’s CO2 compensation project “Smallholder coffee farmers prepare for climate change”
The project helps smallholder coffee farmers – who are particularly affected by climate change – to adapt to the changes, increase their incomes, and support the economic sustainability of the small scale coffee industry in Nicaragua. Combining disease-resistant coffee plants with other tree species strengthens the natural resistance of the whole cultivation, diversifies sources of income, reduces CO2 emissions and protects the habitat of wild animals.
