The second international FEV conference, a discussion platform for automotive enthusiasts from business and politics, took place in Aachen from 13 to 14 November. This year’s motto was very topical as the title was “Zero CO2 Mobility”. In view of the EU’s decision to introduce strict CO2 limits for commercial vehicles in the future, this was more than an appropriate topic. This is also fitting because, according to the EU definition, vehicles equipped with KEYOU-inside technology are considered zero-emission vehicles. While manufacturers and German politicians “groan” under the new regulations and regard them as too strict, KEYOU sees these regulations as extremely positive. This was also expressed by Thomas Korn in his lecture on November 14th, because by being recognized as zero-emission technology, manufacturers can positively influence their own CO2 fleet balance with “KEYOU-inside”.
One conclusion of the conference was the realization that electrification is an important but by no means sufficient means to achieve CO2-neutral mobility. Experts are therefore calling for further modern technologies and innovative concepts, because this is the only way to achieve a sustainable reduction in CO2 emissions down to zero emissions.
