At the meeting in Irschenhausen, near Munich – where the initiative’s project house is located – Kaufmann proved to be a well-informed and witty discussion partner: “Hello, I am Stefan Kaufmann, also called Mr. Hydrogen of the Federal Government“, were Kaufmann’s opening words. After Dr. Andreas Seebach, Chairman of “H2 Süd”, presented the project “Hydrogen Model Region Altötting/Burghausen”, Kaufmann was quite impressed: “To make the hydrogen republic a reality, we need the best ideas from all over Germany. As a Stuttgart resident, I am delighted that initiatives like “H2 Süd” are bundling the great potential of the many highly innovative companies in Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg”.
In informal talks during the event, Jürgen Nadler, KEYOU’s Head of Marketing – also responsible for association and lobby work – had the opportunity to talk to Mr. Kaufmann about the potential of the hydrogen engine. In this context, Kaufmann offered to provide support at any time if “political progress is not made” at one point or another. Thank you very much, we will come back to this if needed.
